I’m not a big fan of book trailers. In fact, I rarely watch them, but then I’m not sure I’m the target audience for YA book trailers. Sadly, my book purchases are captured by covers and book jacket copy. Then there are all the recommendations from all the great writers, editors, and agents I know.
With that said, a couple did capture my imagination this year, although the last isn’t really new. I think what I like about these is the suggestion of a great story. And I love the mood set by the music. Better yet, they don’t show any actors or models that will sway how I view the characters. Love to know your thoughts!

Linger by Maggie Stiefvater
This last one isn’t a book trailer, but if it was, I would totally read the book. This is a video created by Carlos Lascano that gives me shivers every time I watch it. Kind of like the first five minutes of Up!
