Teaser Tuesday
After much debate and advice from fellow AWers, I’ve decided to post tidbits of my novel, TOUCHED, on my blog for your reading pleasure. I believe in this work and believe it will get published. I’ve just sent my edited manuscript out to the agents who requested it. I’ve had a great response from my beta readers and those same agents (Could there be a greater compliment to a writer than readers who stay up to the wee hours because they can’t put your book down?) Keep your fingers crossed for me, and I hope you enjoy reading this excerpt from Chapter One of TOUCHED as much as I loved laboring over it.

I stay awake into the wee, small hours because of insomnia, and have been known to read utter crap just to pass the time, so the time/quality equation ain’t a reliable indicator.
I would, however, stay awake even longer if the rest of your work is as good as this.
Never managed to get things together in time to post an excerpt on a Tuesday, but the madness is slowly coming under control so I might do something. The only comment I have is, uh… Well…
Y’see, the title may be a problem, ’cause I’m not seeing drama when I read ‘Touched’ as a title. For some reason I have images of Michael Jackson headlines appearing in my brain… So not cool. That’s just my bass-ackwards brain firing off random neurons though, and you might like the title enough to keep it.

Oh wow. What a powerful excerpt. You kept me hooked from the beginning until the end. I am now very curious about ‘Touched’.

This was really good. It has a very disturbing and suspenseful air to it from the start (from the last line of the first paragraph, to be exact). Nicely done! Looking forward to reading more — and welcome to the Tuesday Teasers, haha! I usually try to read everyone’s on Tuesday, but I was on the road this time so I’m a little late replying. Anyway, well done — looking forward to more.

Wow Mrs. Jackson so very good I smell Oprah’s book clud somewhere in your future. Touched has me wanting more keep fightineg for it and I will be in line to buy buy buy it !!
